Top Seed Andrey Rublev has been sensationally disqualified from the Dubai Tennis Championships after a heated exchange with a line judge.
The incident occurred in the closing stages of the match between Rublev and Alexander Bublik. With Rublev trailing 6-5 in the final set, tensions escalated after a disputed line call.
Video footage shows Rublev screaming in the face of the line judge, using expletives and aggressive gestures. The tournament referee was called to the court and, after a brief deliberation, decided to disqualify Rublev for verbal abuse.
