Russian Beats Taylor Fritz In Straight Sets
Madrid, Spain - Andrey Rublev continued his impressive form on clay by defeating Taylor Fritz of the United States in the semifinals of the 2024 Madrid Open on Friday.
The Russian, who has struggled on the surface in the past, played with confidence and aggression, breaking his opponent three times to secure a 6-4, 6-3 victory in just over 90 minutes.
Rublev will now face Felix Auger-Aliassime in Sunday's final, where he will be aiming to win his first ATP Masters 1000 title.
