France beat Portugal 5-3 on penalties to reach the EURO 2024 semi-finals after a 0-0 draw in Hamburg on Friday.
The match was a close affair, with few clear-cut chances for either side. Kylian Mbappe had the best chance for France in the first half, but his shot was well saved by Rui Patricio.
Portugal had a good chance to win the game in the second half, but Cristiano Ronaldo's header was cleared off the line by Dayot Upamecano.
The game went to penalties, and France ultimately prevailed. Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba, and Hugo Lloris all scored their spot-kicks, while Portugal's Joao Mario, Andre Silva, and Bruno Fernandes missed their attempts.
France will now face either England or Spain in the semi-finals.
